Technology Assessment Maintain up-to-date awareness of tactical training requirements using state-of-the-art communications, computer, and other electronic systems technologies, with particular emphasis on defining weapons, sensors, and C4I simulation systems. Market Surveys & Trade-off Analyses Based on identified technical requirements, assess available GFE, NDI/COTS or advanced development technology from the perspective of a technically knowledgeable user in order to identify and recommend cost-effective alternative solutions. Systems Design/Integration Identify, select and configure hardware and software system components into integrated systems, to include definition of required physical and electrical interface standards and interface protocols. Software Development Plan, code, debug, and test the integration of custom software applications, Graphical User Interfaces (GUIs) and commercial operating systems to replicate the functionality of tactical systems and components. Testing Assist in planning (e.g. determining testing requirements, critical issues, test conditions and measures of performance), coordinating and conducting proof-of-concept demonstrations and user operational and acceptance tests. Trainer Modifications Develop Software or Hardware Modifications using the latest tools and programming methods. |
