UH-1N Helicopter Trainer Avionics Modification, Device 2F161


Device 2F161 is a full motion and visually supported helicopter Operational Flight Trainer. The trainer simulates all flight and Weapon System functions of the UH-1N helicopter. RDR is designing and installing an avionics modification to replicate the Radar Signals Detecting Set (RSDS) AN/APR-39A (V)2, Laser Detecting Set AN/AVR-2 and the Missile Warning Set (MWS) AN/AAR47 into the existing training device. This task includes:

• Analysis of the hardware and software required and the installation plan to install the modifications.
• Selection and purchase of all simulation components including display and computers.
• Design, develop and code the simulation software to replicate the functions and displays of the avionics systems.
• Install the modification into the existing trainer operational software and cockpit display console to integrate the new avionics software/hardware.
• Develop a documentation change package for all affected trainer operation and maintenance manuals.
