Quality Assurance Program
RDR utilizes a Web site as an integral framework within which we develop and implement contract team management, coordination between the team and the client. The public side of our Website contains team membership, active and completed TOs.
The RDR members will use a common set of management software tools, such as Microsoft Project™ to develop and track scheduled activities for Delivery Orders and Microsoft Excel™ and approved government systems such as the Deltek GCS Premier™ application for cost and resource accounting. Collectively, these Windows™-based tools provide many functions and features including: 1) planning and scheduling functions with critical path analysis, and time and resource-limited scheduling; and 2) full color management graphics and user defined symbols. These tools are beneficial in planning and scheduling new tasks, especially those that may require specific phases of implementation and have overlapping requirements for personnel or facilities. Major activities, milestones and deliveries for each Delivery Order will be carefully scheduled against the Virtual SYSCOM’s overall requirements. Our experience allows RDR to translate complex technical problems into practical and innovative solutions that are implemented efficiently and effectively.
RDR’s approach to quality assurance is through the implementation of repeatable processes, which provide us the best assurance of consistently delivering quality products on time, every time. All functions that are frequently performed can be documented as a series of steps necessary to be performed every time the function is initiated. Our quality assurance plan is designed to maximize quality without the need for rework. Each time a process is performed, the user follows a checklist to verify completion of each of the various steps in the process. At certain points during the process, a third party QA check is required to verify the procedure has been followed correctly. Our quality control process is tailored to the tasks being executed. The task initiates the planning for the actions required, the estimates of cost to perform, the assignment of the technical point of contact for the task, the start date, the required delivery date, the content, the form and format of the deliverable itself, and the designated recipient of the final deliverable.
RDR flows down incentives to our subcontractors in proportion to their contribution to the achievement of the trigger for the incentive. This is identical to our approach for flowing down risks and penalties to our subcontractors. To the extent that each company shares in the risk, penalty, or contribution to the achievement of the incentive, they share proportionally in the benefit or, if applicable, the cost or the penalty.
The keys to any problem resolution are the identification of the problem, the derivation of the resolution, and equally important, the direct and frequent communication between RDR’s day-to-day Manager and the Government Customer.
RDR employs a flat and highly efficient management structure that places the Program Manager at the center of the organization. Every company function from contracts to accounting, through security and executive management, is designed to support the RDR Program Manager. The notion that programs are where the work gets done and thus where the company creates value for its customers is central to the RDR corporate culture. Our approach provides use of standardized technical processes, well-defined and disciplined management with focused agendas, entrance and exit criteria, and defined roles and responsibilities based upon standard practices tailored to meet specific customer requirements.
